CMDE (Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluation).

What Is a CMDE?

The CMDE helps us understand your child’s development across many areas, so we can create a treatment plan that fits their needs and strengths.

What It Includes:

    •    Family interview & developmental history

    •    Play-based and standardized assessments

    •    Observations in natural settings

    •    Input from licensed professionals

    •    A written report with diagnosis (if applicable) and therapy recommendations

Why It Matters:

    •    Determines eligibility for EIDBI services

    •    Builds the foundation for your child’s Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP)

    •    Gives families clarity, answers, and support

Quick Facts:

    •    Duration: 2–4 hours (may be split into sessions)

    •    Cost: Covered by Insurance

    •    Lead Evaluator: Licensed mental health or developmental professional

    •    Where: In your home, clinic, or virtual setting

After the CMDE:

We meet with you to go over everything in plain language, talk about next steps, and begin planning services together.
