What Is a CMDE?
The CMDE helps us understand your child’s development across many areas, so we can create a treatment plan that fits their needs and strengths.
What It Includes:
• Family interview & developmental history
• Play-based and standardized assessments
• Observations in natural settings
• Input from licensed professionals
• A written report with diagnosis (if applicable) and therapy recommendations
Why It Matters:
• Determines eligibility for EIDBI services
• Builds the foundation for your child’s Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP)
• Gives families clarity, answers, and support

We meet with you to go over everything in plain language, talk about next steps, and begin planning services together.
